Update Oct 8, 2023
One Team completely replaced and also a new partner for Anders at GTG. But we are ready to go, games created and Team Leaders already got their invite PMs. Thanks for jumping in late Antonio Oliveira, Waldemar Kuchewski and Auf TnT
Update Sep 18,2023
Grid filled, thanks everyone. Here is your second update involving some work/communication amongst the teammates before we go ahead Oct 7-10th.
- 24 Teams = 48 players…. See all Players/Teams on blogsite https://lmesteamevents.blogspot.com/2023/09/lmes-team-event-10.html
- Kindly revert to me until Oct 3rd with the Team names you want to use and your pick on chassis/engine/tires per rules for Round 1 below. The series will only have 4 seasons this year and it runs through all 4 classes (a bit erratic for a change). We start with LMP2 class, followed by GT in Round2, LMP1 in Round 3 and the Final in GTS. Only 4 seasons in such a competitive grid is a tough challenge, each point counts. For the fun to play, the series will differ a bit from standard LMES and not allow standard car choices. All suppliers must be communicated by PM to the host before season starts. This should avoid that some teams wait to see choices of others
RULES
1. First 3 rounds are Qualifying for The Final. Starting Groups will be chosen via www.random.org (Done, scroll down to bottom of the page)
2. Point system: Standard LMES Points, aggregate count of Rounds 1 to 3. The Final (Round 4) will start from scratch, each team will have 0 points at start
3. Car options for classes
- Round 1 in LMP2: Each team MUST use Loller or XITECH without THINKER/CHARISMA! (Subject to Wildcards below)
- Round 2 in GT: Each team MUST use BMW 03/04 or Lantorino without THINKER/CHARISMA! (Subject to Wildcards below)
- Round 3 in LMP1: Each team MUST use Dallama, Leicester or Danos without THINKER/CHARISMA! (Subject to Wildcards below)
- Round 4 The Final in GTS: Choice of US cars only, either RetroVet or Lodge without THINKER/CHARISMA! (Subject to Wildcards below)
4. Wildcards
- each DRIVER (not Team!) may use Thinker or Charisma in ONE season only at discretion
- each TEAM may go for FREE chassis choice in ONE season only at discretion
- each TEAM may use Goodyear OR Yokuno tires in ONE season only at discretion These wildcards may be split across seasons or used in combination for the same season.
Examples: both drivers may take Thinkerisma same round or split it to different rounds 1 by 1. Teams may choose Gunnage in P2, use the tire option for Greatyear in GT, try one Thinker in P1 and leave the other Thinker/Charisma to the Final
5. Tires: You MUST use different tires in each round! Teams can decide WHEN to use WHICH! Options are Llanelli, Coco, Mitchell, Donelap
6. Groups/Teams per class - Groups for Rounds 2 and 3 will be re-allocated by ranking - at season end the lowest ranked teams on aggregate count will be knocked out (regardless of group)

Worth to note:
DRIVERS title is not your key target; you need to rely on your teammate. If someone really has obligations outside of BAT and needs a sabbatical during the series, please inform your teammate and the host. I will ensure that a replacement will be found swiftly. Team names should be unchanged throughout contest and at least one driver must finish all 4 rounds (if both drivers need to be replaced, the team will be kicked from the game).

The LMES
Team Event will be back for season #10. Starting marketing well in advance to
give you time to reserve a private slot for start around OCTOBER 10th and allow
for 5 months of play. Aiming for a grid of 20 teams (#9 started with 24 teams)
This year,
the series will have only 4 seasons and it runs through all 4 classes. We will
have a mixed mode this time, starting with LMP2, followed by GT and then LMP1
for the 3 qualifying rounds. We never had a Final in GTS, so it is time for
that. As usual, the series will differ from standard LMES by restricting car
choices, DCs and knock-outs. Detailed rules will be communicated after grid is
filled.
As
mentioned above, first 3 rounds will serve as qualifying for the Final. Those
first 3 rounds will be calculated on an aggregate basis Standard LMES count. Round
4, the GTS Final, will be played by the 10 best teams after Round 3. On the way
there will be eliminations in order to reduce the field to the target number.
Worth to note:
DRIVERS title is not your key target, you need to rely on your teammate. If
someone really has obligations outside of BAT and needs a sabbatical during the
series, please inform your teammate and the host. I will ensure that a
replacement will be found swiftly. Team names should be unchanged throughout
contest and at least one driver must finish all 4 rounds (if both drivers need
to be replaced, the team will be kicked from the game).
If you are interested to participate pls negotiate with a teammate of choice. At this point in time I’d like to exclude double accounting (may not be the final word on it). If someone doesn’t have a teammate pls take a look at my blogspot where you can find other players looking for teammates
Looking forward to a great winter challenge
